Sample Code

Goto: http://www.valleymediaworks.org

1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the link for Admin.
2. Click the Admin link and login to the site with your username and password.
3. Once logged in, hover the mouse on Posts
4. Then click on Add New

1. Put the Title of the post into the top bar TITLE BAR
   1. TITLE OF THE PROGRAM, YOU CAN GET THIS FROM THE TITLE THAT YOU HAVE PUT INTO THE TITLE BAR ON YOUTUBE, THEY SHOULD BE THE SAME TITLE.
2. In the Body window, (below the Title Bar), Change to the TEXT Tab.
3. Start with the code/link to the Youtube video you have just published.
4. Hit “Enter” then change the text inbetween the paragraph tags <p> … </p>
5. CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE FEATURED IMAGE FOR THE STORY YOU CAN CLICK ON SET FEATURED IMAGE
6. SET THE TAGS - USE THE SAME TAGS AS YOUTUBE.
   1. DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING ON THE PAGE
   2. IF IT LOOKS GOOD, THEN CLICK Preview
      1. If the page that loads looks good, go back to the post page (the one you were just on) and Click PUBLISH
7. SAVE THE LINK FOR THE NEW POST - YOU WILL NEED IT FOR POSTING TO FACEBOOK Jump to instructions for facebook post

EXAMPLE

1. When you upload to youtube, it will give you a link such as: youtu.be/BS6AtbfGYhE
2. The link code that you will replace “REPLACE-WITH-YOUTUBE-LINK-CODE” will be: BS6AtbfGYhE ←- The part at the end of the youtube link.
3. your code in the wordpress page should look like this (based on this example):youtube.com/embed/BS6AtbfGYhE

1. LOGIN TO FACEBOOK
   1. Use your personal login information.
   2. Once logged in, WITH THE TOP ARROW (NEXT TO YOUR LOGOUT AREA) CHANGE USER TO: YOUR PAGES - CHIPPEWA VALLEY COMMUNITY TELEVISION.
   3. ONCE ON THE Valley Media Works FACEBOOK PAGE:
   4. Click on Videos:
   5. Click on +Add Video:
      1. A popup box will open, asking you to open the video that you wish to upload. Simply navigate to where the file is, click on it to highlight it, then click the open button.
   6. In the following window:
      1. Upload Video Area 1: Put a brief highlight of the story/post.
      2. Area 2: Put the title of the story/post
      3. Area 3: Tag what you feel is appropriate for the story/post
      4. Area 4: Tag people/businesses that are related to the story/post.
      5. Area 5: Add the location of the city that the story/post is related to, you can only have one location.
      6. EXAMPLE:
   7. If you want to Publish right now, you can push the Publish Button. If you want to Schedule the post to post at a later day, continue to the next step.
   8. Scheduling a Post: On the arrow next to the Publish Button, click and hold with the left mouse button to find the drop down menu for Schedule Post.
      1. Here you can schedule the post for a later date.
      2. Once you have put your time and date in, push Schedule Button.

1. Now, you can log out from Valley Media Works website (wordpress) and Facebook.
